Shared Folders
Learn how folder sharing works.
A folder share gives another user view-only access to recipes in the shared folder and its subfolders.
How Folder Shares Work
When a folder is shared, the recipient can see recipes currently in that folder. Recipes added later to the same folder are visible automatically.
Subfolders are included, so selecting a shared parent folder can show recipes from child folders when Include sub folders is on.
Dashboard Filtering
Shared folders appear in the shared folder tree in the sidebar.
Clicking a shared folder filters the dashboard to that shared folder. This is separate from the account folder tree, even when folder names match.
Manage Sharing
Manage Sharing lists the folder share itself. It does not list every recipe that becomes visible through that folder share.
Access
Folder shares are view-only. Recipients can read recipes, see tags, add comments, and use Save As. They cannot edit, rename, move, delete, or share the original recipes.
