Grocery Lists
Create, import, edit, share, and sync grocery lists in Sparky Cooks.
Grocery lists are separate from recipes. You can create a list from selected recipes, import a pasted or uploaded list, create an empty list, edit items while shopping, share a list, and keep working from recently synced lists when your connection is unavailable.
On the web, open the Lists dashboard tab or Manage > Lists. On iPhone and iPad, choose the Lists dashboard tab. The Cooking Assistant also provides grocery-list shortcuts.
What You Can Do
- Create a new grocery list with a name and optional description.
- Generate a new list from selected recipes or add their ingredients to an existing list.
- Paste grocery items or import a
.txtor.csvfile. - Review imported items and possible duplicates before saving.
- Add, edit, reorder, check off, and delete list items.
- Rename a list or update its description.
- Duplicate an existing list.
- Share a list with another Sparky Cooks user.
- Leave a shared list when you no longer need it.
- Use saved grocery lists offline and sync changes later.
Owned and Shared Lists
The Grocery Lists page shows lists you own and lists shared with you.
Owners can rename, share, duplicate, edit, and delete their lists. Shared lists can be edited by the people they are shared with, but only the owner can manage sharing or delete the original list.
Recipe Sources
Lists created from recipes keep the recipe names as source information. This helps you see which recipes contributed ingredients, but editing a grocery list does not change the recipes.
