Edit, Share, and Use Offline
Work with grocery lists after they are created.
Create an Empty List
Open the Lists dashboard tab or Manage > Lists. Enter a list name, add an optional description, and choose the create button.
Edit a List
Open a list to:
- Add new items.
- Edit item text.
- Check or uncheck individual items.
- Check or uncheck the full list.
- Delete checked items.
- Delete individual items.
- Drag items into a new order.
- Rename the list.
- Update the list description.
Duplicate a List
Use the duplicate action when you want a new list based on an existing one. The duplicate keeps the current list items and source recipe information, but it becomes a separate list.
Share a List
List owners can choose the share action and enter another user's email address. Shared grocery lists can be edited by the people you share them with.
Owners can remove a share later. Recipients can leave a shared list without deleting the owner's original list.
Offline Use
Recently synced grocery lists are saved on your device for offline use. If your connection is unavailable, Sparky Cooks shows saved lists and queues changes locally.
When your connection returns, Sparky Cooks syncs pending grocery-list changes in the background. If a shared or deleted list is no longer available, the app may ask you to go back to the Grocery Lists page.
Open a list online at least once before relying on it offline. Importing into an existing list while offline also requires that destination list to be stored on the current device.
Add the Web List to a Mobile Home Screen
When you use the Sparky Cooks website on a phone or tablet, your browser can offer Add to Home Screen or Install App. Installing from the Grocery Lists area creates a quick way to return to your lists.
The exact command and location depend on the mobile browser. This shortcut does not replace the native iPhone and iPad app.
