Progress and Cooking Guide Updates
Understand saved session progress and cooking guide refreshes.
Close and Continue Later
Closing Start Cooking keeps the current stage, checklist marks, and cooking step on that device so you can return to the session.
Choose Finish after the last cooking step when you want to clear that temporary progress and end the session.
Cooking-session progress:
- Does not change the saved recipe.
- Is not shared with other account users.
- Does not synchronize between devices or browsers.
- Can be cleared when the generated cooking guide changes.
When a Cooking Guide Is Prepared
Sparky Cooks prepares a guide when one is missing or when cooking-related recipe content has changed. Existing recipes can create their first guide when you choose Start Cooking.
After an editing session that changed ingredients or directions, Sparky Cooks checks whether the guide needs an update when you close the editor. Routine autosaves do not start a separate guide update every time.
If Preparation Takes Time
The preparation message changes as Sparky Cooks reads the saved recipe, organizes ingredients and equipment, builds the steps, and checks timing details. Detailed recipes can take longer.
If preparation fails, choose Try Again. The failure does not change the saved recipe.
If an editor update is interrupted, use the retry action shown by the app or open Start Cooking again. Sparky Cooks will use a current guide when one is available and prepare a new one when necessary.
