Troubleshooting
Common Sparky Cooks problems and what to check first.
Start with the page that matches the problem:
Start Cooking
The first Start Cooking session for a recipe can take a moment while Sparky Cooks prepares its cooking guide. The current preparation step is shown while you wait. The same guide is reused until cooking-related recipe content changes.
If preparation fails, use Try Again. The saved recipe is not changed by cooking guide generation, and Gather, Prep, ingredient, and current-step progress remains Cooking Session data rather than recipe content.
If another device has the active session, choose Continue Cooking to join it. A brief connection problem can delay synchronized checkmarks, Cooking Notes, or timer state; keep the session open while it reconnects.
If Note This is unavailable, check that Cooking Assistant permission is active and that the account has enough Cooking Assistant allowance to process the notes. Cook From Scratch cannot begin unless its final recipe draft can be processed.
